Mid green job

A Production Planner oversees and manages production lines and associated processes for smooth operation and optimal output both in terms of quantities and product quality. Energy saving and reduction of waste materials is ever more important as we push towards sustainability and a greener world, so bringing these dimensions into modern production planning roles is crucial.  In this job you’ll create and manage production schedules, working closely with engineers and other business professionals to meet constraints like budget and time.  You’ll also be involved in sourcing materials or arranging their availability, and potentially looking at production line resourcing requirements.

To become a Production Planner you will benefit from a degree in subjects like Supply Chain or Business Management, though junior routes may be available with similar experience or lower level qualifications.  Technical certifications will also put you in good stead, like becoming ‘Certified in Production and Inventory Management’ for example.

Salary range: £24,000-£40,000
