Job Description

The Helideck Assistant will support landing and departure of helicopters which carry personnel to and from offshore installations or vessels, they will work as part of a team that supports safe landings of helicopters offshore in various weather conditions and will also form part of the emergency response team as well as many other duties.

• Helideck Assistant Certificate (OPITO Standard)
• Basic offshore induction and emergency training (BOSIET)
• Offshore Medical Certificate
• OPITO Minimum Industry Safety Standards (MIST)

• Offshore Emergency Helideck Team Member Certificate (OPITO Standards)
• Helicopter Refuelling Certificate (OPITO Standards)

Career Path and Progression

Once you have experience you could progress to a team leader or become a Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO).
