Overview of Law & Legal Services

Law and Legal Services are a very valuable part of the world we live in, it is intertwined with almost every aspect of our society starting with registering your birth, through to marriage and buying a house.

When thinking about a career in the legal profession you would firstly need to think about what you would like to do, do you want to become a barrister, solicitor or would you prefer an alternative role such as a legal secretary, court clerk, coroner or legal journalist.

Law is a very interesting, stimulating and an often lucrative career path but its pretty tough to get into and will require extreme dedication and motivation, succeeding as a solicitor will take at least three years to train if you are a law graduate, four year for a non-law graduate and at least six years if you are not a graduate.

For further information on the options available to you and what you need to do to get into the industry follow the various links on this page and view the two sub-sectors below.
